FOS Essentials packs are distributed as a VPM listing. You add the listing once, then install each tool separately from the Creator Companion, and updates appear there like any other package.

The Core comes along on its own
Section titled “The Core comes along on its own”Every tool declares FOS Essentials Core as a dependency. Install any pack and the Creator Companion pulls the Core with it — there is nothing to install in a particular order, and no way to end up with a tool whose Core is missing or too old.
If you already installed a pack by hand
Section titled “If you already installed a pack by hand”Nothing to clean up. Each package declares the folder its manual version used, so the
Creator Companion removes Assets/FOS/<Pack> as it installs. Asset identifiers are
preserved, so a scene you already wired keeps working.
Back up your project first, as you would before any package change.
Paid packs are not in the listing
Section titled “Paid packs are not in the listing”A VPM listing is public, and so is everything it points to. Tablet System Standard and
Pro remain .unitypackage files delivered through the store.
