Compatibility
A pack declares the oldest Core it can run on. The Hub compares that number to the Core actually installed and refuses the combination if it is too old, rather than failing later at runtime.

Reading the version numbers
Section titled “Reading the version numbers”FOS Essentials uses major . significant . minor, judged by what the change costs you, not by how large the diff was.

| Significant | The tool gained an ability it did not have |
| Minor | A fix, or an addition you may not even notice |
Read the pack changelog before updating. A prefab you modified never carries your changes over on its own.
